About The Position

The Temp Associate delivers a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging with customers, following customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store. The role adheres to operational, merchandise, loss-prevention, safety, and store standards and may involve cross-training in multiple areas to support business needs. Associates support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect, and provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback. The position is at HomeGoods Store 0069 in West Palm Beach, Florida. Starting pay is $15.00 to $15.50 per hour; actual starting pay depends on relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities

• Model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
• Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Accurately ring purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Follow the company merchandising philosophy and established merchandising procedures and standards.
• Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
• Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards on the sales floor and participate in maintaining and cleaning the entire store.
• Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• May be cross-trained to work in multiple store areas to support business needs.
