About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Teller to join its National Branch Network. This front-line, customer-focused role supports customers’ everyday banking needs through in-branch interactions, accurately completing transactions while providing a welcoming and reliable experience. The Teller is a primary customer contact, representing the branch through attentive service, accuracy, and care. The role builds foundational banking skills by helping identify customer needs and introducing relevant products, services, and digital tools. Tellers connect customers with bankers for more detailed product conversations and work with branch teammates to support smooth daily operations and a consistent customer experience. Wells Fargo describes this position as an entry point into retail banking, with training, coaching, and opportunities for career growth. The position is located at 3111 Crow Canyon Place, San Ramon, California. The schedule will include Saturdays. The position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. The base pay range is $22.00–$27.50; pay may vary based on factors including prior performance, skills, experience, and work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.

Requirements

At least 6 months of experience interacting with customers, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, education, or a combination.
Ability to work a schedule that includes Saturdays.

Responsibilities

Accurately process routine transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, payments, and check cashing.
Welcome customers, understand their needs, and guide them to efficient banking options, including digital tools, self-service options, or the appropriate team member.
Build relationships and actively listen to understand everyday financial needs.
Connect customers to relevant information, services, digital tools, or bankers.
Identify potential product or service needs, introduce solutions at a high level, and refer customers to a banker for detailed guidance.
Complete transactional and operational activities accurately, exercising sound judgment and managing risk in accordance with policies and controls.
Use communication and active listening skills to clarify needs and provide clear solutions or next steps.
Collaborate with branch teammates, follow leadership direction, and escalate complex situations as needed.
Resolve routine customer questions or concerns and escalate more complex issues for timely resolution.
Follow applicable risk programs, policies, procedures, and compliance obligations; identify and escalate issues and make sound risk decisions.
