High school degree or equivalent required.
Six months to one-year of related experience and/or training required in the area of cash handling or customer service.
Ability to communicate effectively and clearly (both written and verbally).
Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations; add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to use good judgment in making routine and complex decisions.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to sell products and Services.
Ability to accurately handle large sums of cash.
Goal-oriented and able to achieve individual goals as well as work as a team player to achieve departmental and/or Bank goals.
Flexibility is necessary with the ability to adapt in an ever-changing environment.
Proficient in all Microsoft Office programs, with an ability to quickly learn other bank-related programs.

Cash handling experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Greeting all bank customers in a courteous and professional manner.
Operating a teller window to process a variety of transactions including deposits, withdrawals, cash advances, loan payments, and credit card payments.
Entering customer transactions into the computer to record them and issuing computer-generated receipts.
Assisting customers with account-related questions and placing holds on accounts as appropriate.
Ordering daily supply of cash, counting incoming cash, and balancing the cash drawer.
Maintaining good customer relations by providing courteous and efficient service.
Developing new business by acquainting non-customers with bank services and presenting current customers with additional services.
Identifying and responding to cross-sale opportunities by referring customers to the appropriate bank personnel.
Recording customer interactions in the bank's CRM platform.
