What Will a Bank Teller Do? The Bank Teller serves as the first point of contact for many of our customers and plays a critical role in delivering exceptional service. Key responsibilities include: Accurately processing customer transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, payments, and transfers Balancing a cash drawer daily with accuracy and efficiency Identifying customer needs and providing information on bank products and services, with appropriate referrals to Customer Service Representatives (CSRs), lenders, or other banking professionals Providing outstanding customer service by maintaining a friendly, professional, and courteous demeanor at all times Answering telephone calls promptly and professionally Learning, understanding, and following all retail banking policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance Maintaining strict confidentiality of customer and bank information Assisting with assignments or projects as needed to ensure adequate staffing and smooth branch operations, including possible travel to other branch locations Performing other duties as assigned
