About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Teller to join its National Branch Network in Palm Desert, California. In this front-line, customer-focused role, the Teller supports customers’ everyday banking needs through in-branch interactions, accurately processes transactions, and provides a welcoming and reliable experience. As a primary customer contact, the Teller represents the branch through attentive service, careful work, and genuine care. The Teller learns about customers’ needs and introduces helpful products, services, and digital tools, referring customers to a banker for detailed product conversations when appropriate. The role works closely with branch teammates to support smooth daily operations and a consistent, high-quality customer experience. It offers exposure to retail banking and opportunities for longer-term career growth supported by Wells Fargo training, coaching, and a team-based culture.

Requirements

At least 6 months of experience interacting with customers, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, education, or a combination of these.
Ability to work a schedule that includes Saturdays.
This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Accurately process routine transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, payments, and check cashing.
Welcome customers, understand their needs, and guide them to efficient banking options, including digital tools, self-service options, or the appropriate team member.
Build relationships and actively listen to understand customers’ everyday financial needs.
Connect customers to relevant information, services, digital tools, or bankers.
Identify potential product or service needs, introduce solutions at a high level, and refer customers to a banker for detailed guidance.
Complete transactional and operational activities accurately, exercise sound judgment, and manage risk in accordance with policies and controls.
Use clear communication and active listening to clarify customer needs and provide simple solutions or next steps.
Collaborate with branch teammates, follow leadership direction, and escalate complex situations as needed.
Resolve routine customer questions and concerns and escalate more complex issues to support timely resolution.
Follow applicable risk and compliance programs, policies, and procedures; identify and escalate concerns and make sound risk decisions.
