About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking a part-time Teller to join its National Branch Network at the Pacific Beach location in San Diego, California. This customer-focused, front-line role supports everyday banking needs through in-branch interactions, accurately processes transactions, and provides a welcoming and reliable customer experience. The Teller is a primary point of contact for customers and represents the branch through attentive service, accuracy, and care. The role builds foundational banking skills by helping customers identify their needs and introducing them to relevant products, services, and digital tools. Tellers connect customers with bankers for more detailed product conversations and work with branch teammates to support daily operations and deliver consistent service. Wells Fargo describes the position as an entry point to retail banking and longer-term career growth, supported by training, coaching, and a team-based culture. The position is based at 1302 Garnet Ave, San Diego, CA 92109. The schedule will include Saturdays. The base pay range is $22.00–$27.50 per hour, and eligible employees may also have access to incentive opportunities. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Requirements

At least 6 months of experience interacting with customers, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, education, or a combination of these.
Ability to work a schedule that includes Saturdays.

Responsibilities

Accurately process routine transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, payments, and check cashing.
Welcome customers, understand their needs, and guide them to convenient banking options, including digital tools, self-service options, or the appropriate team member.
Build customer relationships, listen to understand everyday financial needs, and connect customers with relevant information, services, digital tools, or bankers.
Identify potential product or service needs, introduce solutions at a high level, and refer customers to a banker for detailed guidance.
Complete transactional and operational activities accurately, exercise sound judgment, and manage risk in accordance with policies and controls.
Communicate clearly, use active listening to clarify customer needs, and provide simple solutions or next steps.
Collaborate with branch teammates, follow leadership direction, and escalate complex situations as needed.
Resolve routine customer questions or concerns and escalate more complex issues for timely resolution.
Follow applicable risk and compliance programs, policies, and procedures; identify, escalate, and help remediate issues.
