About The Position

Texell is hiring a full-time Teller to work 35 hours per week at its Hewitt Branch in Hewitt, Texas. The role involves serving members through drive-thru and/or lobby hours during the week and every other Saturday. Tellers perform financial transactions accurately, maintain member confidentiality and follow security procedures, and help members learn about Texell’s products and services. The position also involves sales referrals and, during downtime, contacting members about promotions and rates. Monthly incentives may be earned. The job requires standing throughout the day and following a professional business dress code, including closed-toe dress shoes.

Requirements

• Previous customer service and cash handling experience.
• Two or more years with employer(s); job loyalty is important to Texell.
• Availability to work drive-thru and/or lobby hours during the week and every other Saturday.
• Ability to stand throughout the day.
• Adherence to a professional business dress code, including closed-toe dress shoes.
• Comfort with sales and referring products.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 products such as Teams, Word, and Excel.

Nice To Haves

• Banking experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform financial transactions with 100% accuracy, including check cashing, withdrawals, deposits, loan payments, and cash advances.
• Follow credit union security procedures and maintain member confidentiality.
• Work with a high level of attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Educate members about Texell’s products and services and refer products.
• During downtime, perform additional functions according to credit needs, such as calling members about current promotions and rates.
• Provide empathetic, exceptional service and make member interactions a positive experience.
