About The Position

Freedom First is seeking a Full-Time Universalist to join their Credit Union team. This role offers a progressive development path, starting with teller transactions and member service, and advancing through training to include account opening, lending, and other relationship-based financial services. The position is based at the Crossroads location and involves providing exceptional service to members, accurately processing financial transactions, and building trusted relationships by identifying member needs and educating them on products and services that support their financial goals. The ideal candidate is committed to delivering personalized solutions, enhancing the member experience, and promoting long-term financial well-being. Progression into account opening and lending responsibilities is an expectation of the position.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years in banking, financial services, customer service, or similar experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to motivate, influence, and educate members.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in computer and administrative support systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret financial documents.
  • Must demonstrate proficiency in all existing job duties to show they can consistently meet or exceed the full expectations of their current role before consideration for additional responsibilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree, business/trade school certification, or equivalent training.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver outstanding service by assessing member needs, educating members on available products and services, and recommending appropriate financial solutions to enhance their banking experience.
  • Assist members with deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and account inquiries. Provide accurate information and resolve issues promptly.
  • Balance a cash drawer. Receive, process, and balance daily financial transactions. Maintain accuracy and compliance with policies.
  • Support opening/closing procedures and assist with branch balancing.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal regulations, including Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and OFAC requirements.
  • Meet or exceed performance goals related to member satisfaction, transaction accuracy, and fulfilling member financial needs through appropriate products and services.
