About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking a part-time Teller to join its National Branch Network in Mason City, Iowa. This front-line, customer-focused role supports customers’ everyday banking needs through in-branch interactions. Tellers accurately process transactions and provide a welcoming, reliable experience while representing the branch as a primary point of contact. The role builds foundational banking skills by learning about customers’ needs and introducing helpful products, services, and digital tools. Tellers identify opportunities to support customers and connect them with the appropriate banker for detailed product discussions. They work with branch teammates to support daily operations and provide consistent, high-quality customer service. Wells Fargo provides training and coaching, and the role offers exposure to retail banking and potential career mobility.

Requirements

At least 6 months of experience interacting with customers, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
Ability to work a schedule that includes Saturdays.

Responsibilities

Accurately process routine transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, payments, and check cashing.
Welcome customers, understand their needs, and guide them to efficient banking options, including digital tools, self-service options, or the appropriate team member.
Build customer relationships by listening to understand everyday financial needs and connecting customers with relevant information, services, digital tools, or bankers.
Identify potential product or service needs, introduce solutions at a high level, and refer customers to a banker for detailed guidance.
Complete transactional and operational activities accurately, exercising sound judgment and managing risk in accordance with policies and controls.
Communicate clearly, use active listening to clarify needs, and provide simple solutions or next steps.
Collaborate with branch teammates, follow leadership direction, and escalate complex situations as needed.
Resolve routine customer questions or concerns and escalate more complex issues for timely resolution.
Follow applicable risk and compliance programs, policies, and procedures; fulfill risk and compliance obligations; and escalate and remediate issues appropriately.
