About The Position

As a Teller at Santander, you assist customers with financial needs and process banking transactions while delivering exceptional service. You resolve concerns, minimize risk, help defend against fraud, refer suitable product solutions, and escalate complex issues for timely resolution. The role also includes operational duties and may require supporting nearby branch locations based on business necessity. The position is part-time and requires working branch hours, which can include weekends and evenings.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 6 months of cash-handling experience.
• At least 6 months of demonstrated customer service experience.
• Excellent customer service skills and a passion for helping others.
• Ability to identify risk concerns and escalate them through appropriate channels.
• Ability to follow directions, policies, and procedures.
• Effective listening and communication skills.
• Comfort using digital tools and technology to enhance customer engagement.
• Energetic, organized, and able to multitask in a fast-paced, changing environment.
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
• Computer proficiency and basic math skills.
• Ability to work branch hours, which may include weekends and evenings.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers, minimize wait times, and assist with their banking needs.
• Process deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and other transactions.
• Handle cash and maintain accurate cash drawer balances.
• Follow bank policies and procedures, including compliance and risk management protocols, to prevent fraud.
• Recognize opportunities to cross-sell bank products and deepen customer relationships.
• Use digital tools to educate customers on self-service options.
• Assist with custodianship, audits, and other operational tasks.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Support nearby branch locations when required by business necessity.
