About The Position

The Teller serves as the face of the credit union, providing exceptional member service and personalized financial solutions. The role involves accurately and efficiently conducting financial transactions, promoting products and services, and building rapport with members through genuine engagement and proactive support. The position is based at Greater Nevada Credit Union’s Minden Branch in Minden, Nevada.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of customer service experience in a customer-facing environment, such as retail, hospitality, or financial services.
• At least 6 months of cash-handling experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn systems.
• Strong attention to detail and customer service skills.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Friendly and outgoing personality.
• Sales skills and experience.
• Effective relationship-building skills.
• Willingness to take initiative; action-oriented; communicates effectively; member-focused; and collaborative.

Responsibilities

• Greet members warmly, listen to their needs, and provide friendly, professional assistance.
• Accurately conduct deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments, and other financial transactions.
• Balance cash drawers and maintain appropriate cash levels.
• Educate members about credit union products and services and identify opportunities to cross-sell offerings that meet their financial needs.
• Follow regulatory requirements and internal policies and procedures to protect member confidentiality and guard against fraud or unauthorized transactions.
