About The Position

Clock Tower Community Bank, a division of Morton Community Bank (MCB), is seeking a Teller. Established in 1960, MCB has grown to over 550 employees across 50 branch locations and manages over $5 billion in assets. The bank prides itself on dedicated service to customers and communities, valuing its employees who own a portion of the bank through an ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan), a substantial retirement benefit. The Teller provides top-rate, accurate, and efficient service to all customers, processing and recording routine transactions such as cashing checks, accepting deposits and withdrawals, processing loan payments, and money transfers. This role is also responsible for professionally promoting MCB’s products and services.

Responsibilities

  • Identify customers and accurately manage various transactions, including validating and cashing checks, accepting cash and/or checks for deposit, receiving and counting working cash, and processing cash withdrawals.
  • Perform specialized tasks such as preparing cashier's checks, personal money orders, and exchanging foreign currency.
  • Perform services for customers such as ordering bank cards and checks.
  • Receive and verify loan payments and mortgage payments.
  • Balance currency, cash, and checks in cash drawer at end of each day.
  • Answer inquiries regarding checking and savings accounts and other bank related products.
  • Other duties as assigned.
