About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Teller to join its National Branch Network in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. This front-line, customer-focused position supports customers’ everyday banking needs through in-branch interactions. The Teller processes transactions accurately and provides a welcoming, reliable experience as a primary point of contact for customers. The role involves learning about customers’ needs, introducing helpful products, services, and digital tools, and connecting customers with a banker for more detailed product conversations. The Teller works with branch teammates to support daily operations and deliver a consistent, high-quality customer experience. Wells Fargo describes this role as a starting point for developing retail banking skills and pursuing long-term growth, supported by training, coaching, and a team-based culture.

Requirements

At least 6 months of experience interacting with customers, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, education, or a combination of these.
Ability to work a schedule that includes Saturdays.

Responsibilities

Accurately process routine service transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, payments, and check cashing.
Welcome customers, understand their needs, and guide them to efficient banking options, including digital tools, self-service options, or the appropriate team member.
Build relationships and actively listen to understand everyday financial needs.
Connect customers to relevant information, services, digital tools, or bankers.
Identify potential product or service needs, introduce solutions at a high level, and refer customers to a banker for detailed guidance.
Complete transactional and operational activities accurately, exercising sound judgment and managing risk in line with policies and controls.
Use communication and active listening skills to clarify needs and provide clear solutions or next steps.
Collaborate with branch teammates, follow leadership direction, and escalate complex situations as needed.
Resolve routine customer questions or concerns and escalate more complex issues to support timely resolution.
Follow applicable risk and compliance programs, policies, and procedures, and appropriately escalate and remediate issues.
