About The Position
This is a part-time Teller position. The primary duties involve processing customer transactions, managing cash, and promoting the institution's products and services. The role also includes opening new accounts and performing account maintenance within the computer system, as well as servicing automated teller machines and night depositories.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Cash handling experience.
- Basic computer skills.
Responsibilities
- Receive checks and cash for deposit, verify amounts, and examine checks for endorsements.
- Cash checks and pay out money after verification of signatures and customer balances.
- Enter customers' transactions into computer to record transactions and issue computer generated receipts.
- Place holds on accounts for uncollected funds.
- Order daily supply of cash, and counts incoming cash, including handling large bags of coins.
- Balance currency, coin, and checks in cash drawer at end of shift, comparing totaled amounts with data displayed on computer screen.
- Promote and cross-sell other establishment products and services such as internet banking, cashier’s checks, trust and investment services.
- Open new accounts.
- Load new accounts and account maintenance in Computer System.
- Remove deposits from, and count and balance cash in, automated teller machines and night depository.
