They are responsible for balancing daily transactions, verifying cash, and building member relationships by identifying needs and cross-selling Credit Union services. The role also involves performing member services functions like opening accounts, assisting with bookkeeping, and resolving complex transactions. Tellers are expected to assist members through multiple channels (phone, mail, text, email, video, self-serve) and promote digital services, acting as a branch expert for these offerings. Clerical duties and assisting other Service Representatives are also part of the role, with an expectation to meet sales, volume, and service goals to support branch objectives.
