Requirements

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to deliver professional member service and represent the Credit Union positively.
  • Regular and dependable attendance.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Intermediate math proficiency (decimals, percentages, and fractions).
  • Requires reliable transportation to move freely from different branches around the Tallahassee & Crawfordville area.

  • Previous cash-handling experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine financial transactions, including but not limited to deposits, withdrawals, cash advances, loan payments, purchase of monetary instruments, and check cashing according to established Champions First CU policies and procedures.
  • Ensure full compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations, including OFAC, BSA, and FACTA requirements.
  • Evaluate checks for negotiability and apply standardized Check21 procedures when applicable.
  • Route account-related information to the appropriate department for processing.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of member information and adhere to all data security policies.
  • Maintain working knowledge of the Shared Branching rules and regulations.
  • Respond to new account and loan inquiries; provide accurate information about products and services.
  • Address member questions, issues, and complaints or refer them to the appropriate department.
  • Promote and educate members on products and services that meet their financial needs.
  • Support teller operations, including vault balancing, night deposit processing, coin machines, cash dispensers, and processing mail.
  • Report on departmental issues or concerns to the Branch Supervisor.
  • Ensure documentation and compliance standards are consistently met.
  • Demonstrate superior member service and contribute to a high-performing team environment.
  • Assist with archiving process of documents within the Teller area.
