About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Teller to join its National Branch Network in Guttenberg, New Jersey. This front-line, customer-focused role supports customers’ everyday banking needs through in-branch interactions. The Teller processes transactions accurately while providing a welcoming, reliable experience and representing the branch through strong service, attention to detail, and care. The Teller builds foundational banking skills by learning about customers’ needs and introducing relevant products, services, and digital tools. The role identifies opportunities to support customers and connects them with bankers for detailed product discussions. The Teller works with branch teammates to maintain smooth daily operations and a consistent, high-quality customer experience. The position is part-time and based at 6727 Bergenline Ave, Guttenberg, NJ 07093. The schedule includes Saturdays. The position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship. The stated base pay range is $22.00–$27.50; pay may vary based on factors including performance, skills, experience, and work location, and employees may also be eligible for incentives.

Requirements

At least 6 months of experience interacting with customers, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, education.
Ability to work a schedule that includes Saturdays.

Responsibilities

Accurately process routine service transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, payments, and check cashing.
Welcome customers, understand their needs, and guide them to efficient banking options, including digital tools, self-service options, or the appropriate team member.
Build relationships and actively listen to understand customers’ everyday financial needs.
Connect customers to relevant information, services, digital tools, or bankers.
Identify potential product or service needs, introduce solutions at a high level, and refer customers to a banker for detailed guidance.
Complete transactional and operational activities accurately, using sound judgment and managing risk in line with policies and controls.
Use communication and active listening skills to clarify needs and provide clear solutions or next steps.
Collaborate with branch teammates, follow leadership direction, and escalate complex situations as needed.
Resolve routine customer questions or concerns and escalate more complex issues to support timely resolution.
