About The Position

The Teller/Personal Banker provides accurate, efficient, and high-quality service to bank customers while processing and recording routine transactions. The role handles activities such as cashing checks, accepting deposits and withdrawals, processing loan payments and money transfers, and professionally promoting the bank’s products and services. The employee is expected to be trained and developed into a Personal Banker.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.

Relevant computer skills.

Responsibilities

Identify customers and accurately manage transactions, including validating and cashing checks, accepting cash or checks for deposit, receiving and counting working cash, and processing cash withdrawals.
Prepare cashier’s checks and personal money orders, and exchange foreign currency.
Provide customer services such as ordering bank cards and checks.
Receive and verify loan and mortgage payments.
Balance currency, cash, and checks in the cash drawer at the end of each day.
Answer inquiries about checking and savings accounts and other bank-related products.
Perform other duties as assigned.
