About The Position

The Full-Time Teller will manage deposits, withdrawals, and other financial interactions while providing excellent customer service for commercial and consumer accounts. The Backup CSR greets and assists customers by cross-selling services, performs a variety of account maintenance, opens Demand/Savings/CD/IRA accounts, orders checks/debit cards, assists customers with disputes, and allows tenants access to their Safe Deposit Box(es) as needed to assist or in the absence of the branch CSR.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Excellent verbal communication skills.
Thorough understanding of customer service.
Ability to remain friendly.
Above average knowledge of fundamental mathematics.
Ability to be trustworthy and act with integrity.
Ability to remain calm and to minimize panic in the event of a robbery.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience working directly with the public is preferred.

Responsibilities

Conducts various banking transactions including cashing checks and accepting deposits.
Issues bank cashier checks.
Verifies important information including endorsements, dates, and identification, to cash or deposit checks and pay out funds.
Records transactions into banking system, producing computer-generated receipts.
Maintains proper currencies and coins in bank drawers.
Balances all monies in cash drawer at the end of each business day.
Calculates daily transactions using appropriate technology, which may include computers or adding machines.
Demonstrates a helpful and friendly attitude.
Identifies and capitalizes on opportunities to sell or promote new bank services.
Maintains the teller area to ensure the safety of all negotiables and confidential records.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Interviews customers to obtain information and explain available financial services such as savings and checking accounts, Individual Retirement Account, Certificates of Deposit, Debit Cards, and other available products and services.
Answers customer questions and investigates and corrects errors, following customer and establishment records.
Obtains credit records from credit reporting agency.
Executes wire transfers of funds.
