About The Position

Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers is seeking a Telephone Operator in Greenwood Village, Colorado. The Telephone Operator serves as the voice of the organization, connecting patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals with information and resources while providing courteous, helpful service in a fast-paced healthcare environment. The role handles incoming calls, messages, urgent and emergency calls, call triage, and switchboard opening and closing. The salary range is $19.30–$20.50. Pay is based on factors including education, work experience, and certification. Candidates must pass a background check and a non-federal drug test, excluding marijuana, after an offer and before hire. Proof of influenza vaccination is required upon commencing employment; exemptions may be considered as required by applicable law.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least two years of office experience; medical-setting experience is preferred.
Pass a background check and non-federal drug test, excluding marijuana, after offer and before hire.
Provide proof of influenza vaccination upon commencing employment, subject to applicable-law accommodations.

Courteously and efficiently answer incoming calls and connect callers with the correct extension.
Take and relay messages accurately and promptly.
Respond promptly to emergency and urgent patient calls and direct callers to clinical staff when necessary.

Provide callers with a pleasant and helpful phone experience.
Open and close the switchboard.
Enter navigating care tickets.
