About The Position

The Tech-Monitor under the supervision and delegation of the Registered Nurse, has the responsibility for monitoring, documenting, and reporting the ECG activity of patients on the telemetry unit. Requirements

• Satisfactory completion of a medical terminology course, or equivalent education/experience.
• Completion of a basic ECG course, or within 30 days of hire.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring ECG activity of patients on the telemetry unit.
• Documenting ECG activity.
• Reporting ECG activity.
• Serving as a communication link with the RN regarding changes in cardiac rhythms.
