Telemetry Monitor Tech Full Time Days
About The Position
Vibra Hospital of Northern California in Redding, California, is a 50-bed critical care hospital and 32-bed skilled nursing facility providing long-term acute care to patients recovering from serious illnesses or injuries. The hospital cares for patients with medically complex conditions, including trauma, infectious diseases, wound healing, cardiovascular disease, stroke, amputation, and ventilator weaning. It describes its workplace as fast-paced and friendly, with opportunities to get to know patients and their families. The Telemetry Monitor Tech continually monitors telemetry units and promptly alerts appropriate personnel to significant changes in readings. This is a full-time day position. The stated wage range is $23.00 to $26.43 per hour; actual compensation depends on factors including skills, experience, education, training, licensure, certifications, and organizational needs.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous telemetry monitoring experience and/or equivalent education in telemetry monitoring and reading.
- Ability to project a professional image.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
- Strong organizational, prioritizing, and analytical skills.
- Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
- Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
- Freedom from illegal use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.
Nice To Haves
- One year of healthcare experience; previous telemetry monitoring experience and/or equivalent education in telemetry monitoring and reading is preferred.
- Completion of a Medical Terminology course.
- Current BLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor.
