About The Position

This role involves providing telehealth mental health services, focusing on psychiatric medication management. The provider will conduct consultations, assessments, and follow-up appointments, prescribe and manage psychotropic medications, and develop treatment plans. The position requires maintaining accurate electronic health records, participating in case consultations, and adhering to all relevant laws and regulations governing telepsychiatry. The provider will work independently from a dedicated home office space, ensuring HIPAA compliance and managing a virtual caseload.

Requirements

  • Current and unrestricted PMHNP, PA-C (with CAQ in Psychiatry), or MD/DO (Psychiatry) license
  • 2 years clinical experience in psychiatric medication management
  • Demonstrated telehealth competency
  • High-speed internet, professional webcam, and microphone
  • Dedicated, private, and secure home office space

Responsibilities

  • Conducts psychiatric consultations, assessments, and follow-up appointments via secure telehealth platforms.
  • Prescribes, reviews, and manages psychotropic medications, including careful titration and monitoring for efficacy and side effects.
  • Develops and implements individualized medical management and treatment plans in collaboration with the client's multidisciplinary care team (therapist, psychiatrist, etc.).
  • Provides psychoeducation to clients regarding their diagnosis, treatment options, and medication regimen.
  • Maintains accurate, timely, and confidential electronic health records (EHRs) in compliance with all relevant legal and ethical standards (e.g., HIPAA).
  • Participates in regular case consultations and clinical supervision.
  • Adheres to all state-specific laws and regulations governing telepsychiatry and advanced practice nursing/physician assistant practice.
  • Engages in ongoing professional development and training relevant to mental health and telehealth delivery.
  • Utilizes telehealth technology, high-speed internet, professional webcam, and microphone from a dedicated, private, and secure home office space.
  • Ensures HIPAA regulations compliance in all virtual care delivery and record keeping.
  • Maintains licensure requirements and is willing to obtain multistate licensure as needed.
  • Manages a virtual caseload independently while exhibiting excellent clinical judgment and strong diagnostic skills.
  • Other duties, as needed.
