Our Telecommunicators talk to people on their worst days and help them through distressing events by answering 911 calls. Telecommunicators are calm in crisis and great at multi-tasking, with skills in technology and customer service. Job duties include training in emergency communications, answering 911 calls, communicating with police officers and firefighting personnel, conducting criminal background checks, dispatching emergency personnel and resources; maintaining records and creating reports. The Telecommunicator Trainee works 12 hour rotating shifts every 28 days covering 14 shifts. Full-Time Shifts 6 AM - 6PM and 6 PM to 6 AM, 12 hour rotating day and night (14 shifts per month) Part-Time Shifts 20 hours per week 2 - 10 hour shifts one week 3 shifts- 6 hours, 8 hours, 8hours the next (rotating day and night)
