This position is responsible for maintaining, inspecting, and repairing various telecommunication and life safety systems. This includes cable, data, telephone lines, networking systems, uninterrupted power supplies (UPS), communication equipment, low voltage copper communication systems, fiber optic communications systems, television cable systems, community antenna televisions (CATV), closed-circuit television (CCTV) systems, voice and data communication, life safety and fire systems (including smoke detectors, fire alarm control panels, etc.), and electronic access control systems (including electronic locks, readers, etc.). The role also involves administrative support, evaluating system plans, managing work orders, assisting with budget preparation, training technicians, coordinating with vendors, and completing underground cable locates. The position requires on-call duty rotation, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to respond to emergencies.
