About The Position

Operates the organization's central switchboard to answer and route incoming calls and to communicate codes, alerts, drills, and other announcements. The role requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, minimal supervision, and the ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. This is a per diem, day-shift position in Pembroke Pines, Florida.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of customer service experience or experience in a related field.
• Critical thinking skills and decisive judgment.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Responsibilities

• Use desk directories, on-call lists, reference guides, and other associated reference materials.
• Receive and relay internal and external calls and provide general information according to policy and procedure.
• Troubleshoot system issues when needed.
• Operate the beeper and paging system to contact hospital personnel and the code team.
• Communicate codes, alerts, drills, and other announcements according to established policies and procedures, including disaster management plans.
