About The Position

Fisk Electric, a Tutor Perini Company, is seeking a Telecommunication Project Manager to join our team in Houston, Texas. Fisk Electric has been a leading provider of electrical systems, structured cabling, integrated electronic security systems, and building technology solutions since 1913. As a Telecom Construction Project Manager I, you will manage telecom construction projects ranging from $1M-$5M from project kickoff through closeout, with responsibility for scope, schedule, budget, manpower, materials, subcontractors, quality, and customer expectations. You will lead these projects, apply strong knowledge of Division 27 and Division 28 systems, interpret construction drawings and specifications, manage budgets and project schedules, and serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • 5+ years of telecom or low-voltage construction experience.
  • Experience managing projects valued from $1M-$5M.
  • Proficiency with project management, estimating, scheduling, and construction documentation software.
  • Strong knowledge of BICSI standards, NEC requirements, Division 27/28 specifications, and commercial construction practices.

Nice To Haves

  • 2-3+ years of Project Management experience preferred.
  • RCDD certification preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead telecom construction projects valued from $1M-$5M from kickoff through closeout, maintaining accountability for scope, schedule, budget, manpower, materials, subcontractors, quality, and customer expectations.
  • Apply strong knowledge of Division 27 and Division 28 systems, including structured cabling, fiber optics, pathways, wireless/WAP, DAS, security, access control, testing, and related low-voltage systems.
  • Interpret construction drawings, specifications, schedules, and scopes of work; perform takeoffs; develop labor and material estimates; identify scope gaps; and support accurate change-order development.
  • Manage budgets, forecasting, billing, labor and material costs, purchase orders, change orders, and project schedules to support profitability.
  • Coordinate foremen, technicians, subcontractors, vendors, and other trades to deliver quality work on schedule.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, general contractors, electrical contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Lead project meetings, provide clear status updates, resolve issues, document changes, and identify opportunities for additional work.
