About The Position

The Telecomm Systems Analyst will work with Conference Bridge to ensure functionality is maintained and users are trained in its use. They will provide Conference bridges on an as-needed basis, as well as manage a large number of permanent Conference Bridges assigned to specific staff. The role involves placing Polycom devices as needed to facilitate Conference Calls and ensuring Telephone Work requests in the Trackit system are updated and completed in a timely manner. The analyst will maintain the healthcare system PBX, including all remote sites, perform upgrades and software patches as required, and conduct routine testing to ensure the telephone system is maintained at optimal performance levels. This role also includes working with and coordinating with vendors on new installations of circuits, lines, and wiring, which involves interaction with Facilities and vendors to coordinate services. The analyst will maintain lists of circuits, POTS lines, and Centrex Emergency lines to ensure they are used and in good working order at all times. Additionally, they will maintain the call accounting system and provide reports on an as-needed basis.

Requirements

  • Requires a degree (Associates or Bachelors) in computer science, MIS or telecommunications with 2- 5 years of experience in local and wide area networking, communications and related hardware and software.
  • Knowledge of Voice over IP (Internet Protocol)
  • Knowledge of Active Directory
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook

Nice To Haves

  • Ideally, prior experience working with Avaya S8730 telephony platform both on the software side and the wiring components
  • Avaya Modular Messaging including the data networking aspects of this system
  • IVR (Interactive Voice Response) systems
  • ACD (Automatic Call Distribution) systems including programming and monitoring
  • Vocera system
  • Apple Business Manager
