About The Position

The Telecomm Systems Analyst will be responsible for ensuring the functionality and maintenance of telecommunication systems, including Conference Bridges and PBX systems across multiple sites. This role involves user training, managing telephone work requests, performing system upgrades and testing, coordinating with vendors for installations, and maintaining records of circuits and lines. Additionally, the analyst will manage the call accounting system and generate reports.

Requirements

  • Requires a degree (Associates or Bachelors) in computer science, MIS or telecommunications.
  • 2-5 years of experience in local and wide area networking, communications and related hardware and software.
  • Knowledge of Voice over IP (Internet Protocol).
  • Knowledge of Active Directory.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience working with Avaya S8730 telephony platform both on the software side and the wiring components.
  • Avaya Modular Messaging including the data networking aspects of this system.
  • IVR (Interactive Voice Response) systems.
  • ACD (Automatic Call Distribution) systems including programming and monitoring.
  • Vocera system.
  • Apple Business Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Conference Bridge to ensure functionality is maintained and users are trained in its use.
  • Provide Conference bridges on an as needed basis as well as a large number of permanent Conference Bridges assigned to specific staff.
  • Place Polycom devices out as needed to facilitate Conference Calls.
  • Ensure Telephone Work requests in the Trackit are updated and completed in a timely manner.
  • Maintain healthcare system PBX, including all remote sites.
  • Perform upgrades and software patches as required and performs routine testing to ensure telephone system is maintained at optimal performance levels.
  • Work with and coordinate with vendors on new installations of circuits, lines and wiring, including interaction with Facilities and vendors to coordinate services.
  • Maintain lists of circuits, POTS lines, and Centrex Emergency lines to ensure they are used and are in good working order at all times.
  • Maintain call accounting system and provides reports on an as needed basis.
