This position assists the 911 Emergency Communications Center Manager with the direction, management, and daily operations of the 911 Emergency Communications Center. The position assumes the duties and responsibilities of the Center Manager during their absence and provides supervision and leadership to 911 staff. The position is responsible for developing and delivering training to ensure compliance with applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures. The position oversees the Center’s Quality Assurance Program and supports compliance with standards established by CALEA (The Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies). The position recruits, trains, mentors, counsels, and evaluates staff and assists with staffing and operational needs within the 911 Center. The position is required to perform the duties of a 911 Telecommunicator as needed and serves as the department’s Assistant Terminal Agency Coordinator for the Division of Criminal Information Network.
