About The Position

This internship offers an opportunity to learn how a technical department supports employees and maintains system functionality. You will assist with fundamental technical tasks, troubleshoot issues, and gain practical experience with computers, networks, and business systems.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Windows operating systems.
• Troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
• Experience in hardware installation and software installs.
• Helpdesk troubleshooting skills.
• Understanding of network fundamentals.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Data entry proficiency.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of VMware and asset management.
• Basic understanding of Cisco network devices and user access.

• Experience with Windows OS administration.
• Ability to work with Windows 7, 10, and Windows Server environments.
• Experience in installing, configuring, and maintaining computers and servers.

• Ongoing monitoring, updates, and upkeep of IT systems.
• Experience in asset management, including tracking and managing IT equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist coworkers with basic computer issues such as password resets and software problems.
• Set up and prepare laptops, desktops, and other equipment for new employees.
• Install and update software and operating systems.
• Support the IT team with everyday tasks and small projects.
• Track company technology equipment including computers and monitors.
• Learn the workings of networks and systems like Wi-Fi and servers.
• Document common issues and solutions for future reference.
• Shadow IT team members to learn the planning and support of larger projects.
