About The Position

The Southwest West Central Service Cooperative (SWWC) is seeking a Technology Support Specialist I to join their Technology Department. This role provides essential day-to-day hardware and basic software support for workstations, mobile devices, and network applications for SWWC staff and member agencies. The specialist will be responsible for setting up and maintaining computer equipment, migrating data and applications, assisting with security implementations, and supporting the networking infrastructure. This position plays a key role in ensuring a high level of service and user experience within the technology department.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree and 1 year of experience in a job-related field OR combination of education, knowledge, and experience in a job-related field that enables performance of all aspects of this position.
  • Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

  • Provides day-to-day hardware and basic software support for workstation, mobile/tablet and network applications.
  • Conducts the set-up and maintenance of workstations and tablets, including software systems.
  • Conducts migration of data, applications and user settings from an existing system to its replacement.
  • Assists in the implementation of approved security policies and technologies.
  • Adheres to SWWC standards for secure disposition of equipment.
  • Maintains and supports networking infrastructure for both wired and wireless connectivity.
  • Maintains a well-rounded working knowledge in computer and network hardware and software.
  • Maintains enrollment and management of systems through device management technologies.
  • Implements and supports new technologies when appropriate.
  • Assists SWWC Technology Department staff with service objectives, especially related to computer applications and system upgrades.
  • Assists in maintaining strong and up to date documentation of the network operating environment, including technology and network inventories and controls.
  • Provides both scheduled and unscheduled support for assignments within SWWC and contracted agencies.
  • Provides end-user support, device management, and application management at assigned locations.
  • Provides good public relations and customer service with member districts, staff, parents and the general public.
  • Follows all policies and regulations.
  • Regular and prompt attendance is essential.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
