About The Position

Provide support to AEA and LEA staff in utilization and maintenance of all aspects of technology, including hardware, software, network systems, and related technology. This role involves assisting in promoting and implementing the AEA’s technology plan, maintaining technology devices, and providing support to AEA staff for any malfunctioning devices. The specialist will monitor and respond to technology support requests in a timely manner, offering excellent customer service with creative solutions, quick thinking, resourcefulness, and patience. Responsibilities include supporting all devices such as computers, Chromebooks, monitors, keyboards, mouse, hard drives, and audio/visual equipment, as well as maintaining user devices through upgrades and configurations. The role also involves assisting in the deployment, configuration, and support of operating systems, providing training on technology devices, maintaining knowledge of all AEA applications, and keeping an accurate inventory of technology equipment and software.

Requirements

  • Two-year post-secondary education or equivalent technical training/certification, plus two years of work experience providing computer and technology support.
  • Proficient in the use of Mac IOS and Google products.
  • Knowledge of computing devices, software interface, network systems (wired and wireless), routers, and firewalls.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in promoting and implementing the AEA’s technology plan.
  • Maintain technology devices and provide support to AEA staff for any device that is malfunctioning.
  • Monitor and respond in a timely manner to technology support requests.
  • Provide excellent customer service to AEA employees (creative solutions, quick thinking, resourcefulness, and patience).
  • Responsible for supporting all devices including computers, Chromebook, monitors, keyboards, mouse, hard drive, monitors, and audio/visual equipment.
  • Maintenance of user devices, including upgrading and configurations as needed.
  • Assist in the deployment, configuration, and support of operating systems on desktops and mobile devices.
  • Provide training on technology devices to both new and existing employees.
  • Maintain knowledge of all applications used within the AEA in order to provide support to employees as needed.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of all technology equipment and software.
