Provide technical support, services and training to faculty, staff, students and outside organizations for software, hardware, peripherals and audio-visual equipment. This role involves ensuring the efficient operation of classes, equipment, and community events, both on and off campus. The Technology Specialist will assist users with computer, internet, wireless access, and media issues, troubleshoot hardware and software problems, and facilitate events by setting up and managing audio-visual equipment. The position also includes setting up, installing, imaging, and maintaining equipment, monitoring emerging technologies, integrating new technologies, and maintaining accurate records of equipment utilization and problems. Compliance with district policies, technology services procedures, and copyright laws is essential. The role supports college-owned computers, documents all tickets in the ticketing system, remediates security threats, maintains inventory and active directory, creates knowledge base articles, and assists with networking and telecommunications as needed. Adherence to electrical and mechanical equipment standards is required.
