About The Position

CMTA, a Legence company, is hiring a Technology Solutions Design Engineer for its Dallas-Plano or Houston, Texas office. This onsite position offers hands-on training in technology systems design. The engineer will work with a design team on challenging technology projects, learning how systems such as security, audiovisual, IT infrastructure, and active IT equipment are designed and implemented and how they integrate to support secure, high-performing buildings. The role requires the ability to work both independently and collaboratively, communicate effectively, and manage responsibilities to meet project deadlines.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
• Strong interest in technology systems and electrical engineering.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to travel locally for field work.

Nice To Haves

• Internship or co-op experience in a technology solutions design role.
• AutoCAD and Revit experience.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed layouts and equipment details for building technology systems.
• Produce one-line diagrams and schematics.
• Assist the design team in assembling organized sets of drawings.
• Assist with data collection and/or field verification.
• Work with designers and engineers to develop all aspects of a project.
• Manage and prioritize responsibilities effectively to meet project deadlines.
