About The Position

The Technology Manager is a high-accountability role responsible for the architecture, security, and operational excellence of the IT ecosystem. The position requires a business-minded professional capable of translating technical complexity into actionable business cases Serving as a key advisor to leadership, this role owns the technology roadmap, manages the budget, and drives a proactive cybersecurity culture. This "Player-Coach" position focuses on team execution but requires the technical depth to perform "deep dives" and provide hands-on support during critical operational risks

Requirements

  • Experience: 7+ years in IT, with at least 3 years in a formal management role
  • Education: Technical degree or bachelor’s degree in CS/IT is preferred; however, extensive professional experience and relevant industry certifications (AWS, Microsoft 365, Azure, Fortinet) are highly valued and may serve as an equivalent
  • Certifications: Current certifications such as AWS SysOps/Architect, Microsoft 365 Enterprise Administrator, Azure Administrator, or Fortinet NSE are a significant advantage and demonstrate the required technical proficiency for this role
  • Technical Skills: Advanced hands-on proficiency in AWS (EC2/S3/VPC), Azure/Microsoft 365, and Fortinet networking/security (Firewalls, SD-WAN, VLANs)
  • Frameworks: Solid understanding of COBIT, ITIL, or NIST/SOC2 principles to align IT services with business goals and structured governance
  • Industry Knowledge: Previous experience in Aviation or Logistics is a significant advantage
  • Communication: Proven ability to present technical concepts to non-technical executives and justify technical initiatives through business logic
  • Travel Requirement: Approximately 20% travel is required to support remote operations, site audits, and infrastructure deployments
  • Accountability: Demonstrated ownership of departmental success and a commitment to operational excellence, including availability for critical response and troubleshooting beyond standard business hours

Responsibilities

  • KPI & Performance Management: Autonomously drives department goals and service delivery. Elaborates and monitors critical metrics (Uptime, MTTR, Security posture) and provides periodic status updates on all active projects
  • IT Service Delivery: Direct oversight of Help Desk and Support functions. Manages SLAs, enforces documentation standards, and ensures operational continuity. Acts as the final escalation point, resolving technical roadblocks to support seamless operations.
  • Vendor & Asset Management: Manages vendor relationships to ensure SLA compliance and cost-efficiency. Prepares business cases for new investments, focusing on Budget, and long-term scalability.
  • Cybersecurity & Compliance: Owns the end-to-end cybersecurity posture. Leads the implementation of security frameworks (NIST/SOC2), ensures resilience against evolving threats, and maintains fully tested disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
  • Infrastructure Operations: Directly manages hybrid cloud environments (Azure/O365) and provides end-to-end administration of the AWS cloud infrastructure. Configures and administers networking and firewall (Fortinet)
  • Continuous Improvement: Proactively identifies technical debt. Proposes and executes architectural changes to improve efficiency and stability
  • Team Management & Accountability: Leads and develops a high-performing team. Ensures system availability and takes full ownership of the IT response during critical outages or after-hours emergencies
