About The Position

Schneider Electric is seeking a Technology Lead with a focus on AI Assisted Development. This U.S. based role involves building and enhancing cloud-based SaaS products that help organizations reduce energy use and drive sustainability impact. The ideal candidate is a Senior .NET Core Engineer passionate about modern engineering practices, particularly AI-augmented development, and skilled in building scalable, high-quality systems on Azure. The position offers a compensation range of $135,000 - $160,000 per year, which includes base pay and short-term incentive. Schneider Electric provides a comprehensive benefits package and encourages applications on an ongoing basis until the position is filled.

Requirements

  • Deep experience with .NET Core, C#, Web API, and modern application design.
  • Strong understanding of architecture, design patterns, REST principles, and scalable system design.
  • Experience with Azure and cloud‑native development.
  • Working knowledge of SQL Server or NoSQL data stores.
  • Experience using AI coding assistants and a willingness to make them part of your daily workflow.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and comfort working in an agile team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with modern front‑end tech (Angular, TypeScript, HTML/CSS) is helpful but not required.
  • Sustainability or energy‑sector experience is a plus, but not required.
  • Experience with Kubernetes or containerized services
  • Unit testing and mocking frameworks (e.g., Moq)
  • Data modeling expertise
  • SOA or microservices experience

Responsibilities

  • Build and enhance SaaS applications used by global customers to track, analyze, and optimize energy and sustainability performance.
  • Design and develop .NET Core–based services, APIs, integrations, and backend systems.
  • Work closely with architects and cross‑functional teams to design clean, scalable solutions.
  • Use AI coding assistants (Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, etc.) throughout the SDLC — from design and prototyping to code generation, testing, documentation, and refactoring.
  • Help shape best practices for AI‑assisted engineering, including prompt techniques and quality controls.
  • Integrate and process sustainability‑related data across various systems and services.
  • Build cloud‑ready, resilient solutions using Azure services (Functions, Service Bus, App Insights, Data Factory, etc.).
  • Write maintainable, high‑quality C# code and participate in code reviews.
  • Stay current with emerging tech — especially new AI tools — and help bring them into our workflow.
