The Bank’s Technology Development Program (TDP) is a two-year rotational development program intended to build technical expertise within Cybersecurity. Participants gain hands-on experience supporting two Cybersecurity teams, develop technical skills and business acumen, and build a foundation for a long-term Cybersecurity career. The program combines career planning, technical and competency-based training, mentorship, and challenging assessments. It is designed for Bachelor’s degree holders in a technical discipline and offers flexibility to shape career objectives. The Vulnerability Risk Management team strengthens M&T’s cybersecurity posture by identifying, assessing, and prioritizing technology vulnerabilities across the enterprise. The team uses enterprise security tools and risk management practices, partners with technology teams to track remediation, reduce cybersecurity risk, and help protect the Bank’s systems and information assets. Team members collaborate across Cybersecurity and Technology to address emerging risks and improve the organization’s security posture. Participants mentor with experienced technology staff and complete Cybersecurity rotations outside their original discipline to broaden their understanding of how the disciplines are used at the Bank and work together to deliver services and solutions. Post-program assignment to a core area is determined through career-path design, performance, assessment, and interest. The position is located in Buffalo, New York. The stated pay range is $29.57–$43.99 per hour; the specific rate depends on location and the candidate’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Work visa sponsorship is not offered.
