Our engineers work in a “You Build It, You Own It" full stack environment supporting an exciting and innovative tech stack composed of: Java, React, Angular, Vue JS, C#, REST APIs, NoSQL database, Kubernetes, Terraform, Jenkins, Docker, AWS cloud, Scala, Clojure, Java, Haskell, C++, golang, Scheme, Common Lisp, AI-powered development tools for accelerating development and continuously improving code quality , and more! Requirements

  • Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a Bachelor’s degree or higher with an expectation that you will complete your most recent full-time degree program by August 2027 or earlier
  • Located in the continental United States with in-person attendance at your assigned location
  • Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization, or offer any immigration related support for this position

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical or quantitative discipline, including computer science, computer engineering, information systems, information technology, and mathematics
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, problem solving and conceptual skills
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership and communication skills
  • Intermediate to advanced programming skills or experience in one or more of the following areas: Go, Kotlin, Python, Java, HTML, Swift, XML, JSON, UML, JavaScript, SQL, PL/SQL, Shell scripts, Objective C, C#, C/C++, Perl, .net, asp.net, Visual Basic
  • Experience leveraging interactive AI tooling to accelerate productivity, utilizing capabilities beyond basic code completion

Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively on agile teams with diverse and talented colleagues who are ready to take on new and unexpected challenges while building the next wave of engineering solutions
  • Utilize current, state of the art technology and tools, including working with a cloud-native stack, building on AWS using technologies like Kubernetes and Serverless
  • Experience working with cutting-edge AI coding tools to enhance productivity, accelerate development, and continuously improve code quality
  • Participate in technical mentorship and training through meetups, conferences, certifications and tech talks to build out your skillset on topics such iOS and Android, AWS, Open Source Big Data tools, Security, Voice Driven Applications and more
  • Gain exposure to Technology executives and a diverse network of skilled engineers
  • Rotate roles and work with a variety of tools and technologies and learn from different leaders throughout the Tech organization
  • Participate in fun social and volunteer events with other new hires
