About The Position

MTC is proud to operate the East Texas Treatment Facility in Henderson, TX, where our staff provide quality services in a safe, secure, and supportive environment. You’ll be responsible for maintenance, coordination and technical support of equipment used in for alternative treatment delivery in compliance with Management & Training Corporation (MTC) and Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) directives.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited senior high school or equivalent or GED required.
  • Two (2) years full-time, wage-earning substance abuse treatment or substance abuse education experience also required.
  • Must possess current valid licensure as a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) by the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS), Certified Program Instructor, Licensed Psychological Associate, current valid licensure as a Certified Criminal Justice Professional (CCJP) by the Texas Certification Board of Addition Professionals or current valid licensure as Qualified Credentialed Counselor (QCC) licensed to conduct counseling in a treatment environment.
  • Must maintain valid licensure or certification for continued employment in the position.
  • A valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record is required unless waived by management.
  • Must successfully complete annual in-service training requirements and pass an annual background check, both of which must be approved by TDCJ.
  • Maintain credentials and/or licensure required to maintain employment in position.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the alignment of technology initiatives with TDCJ requirements.
  • Collaborate with curriculum developers to incorporate technology into instrumental materials and lessons for inmates.
  • Evaluate and recommend digital tools and resources that enhance curriculum.
  • Design and conduct training sessions for staff.
  • Monitor and assess the effectiveness of technology integration in the curriculum.
  • Prepare reports and presentations on the impact of technology on teaching and learning.
  • Maintain an inventory of digital resources and equipment.
  • Manage budget for technology-related curriculum initiatives.
  • Provide feedback and support to instructors on the use of technology to improve engagement and achievement.
  • Coordinate custom scheduling of television content by audience (SAFPF, IPTC, UPSUTP, FCPRP, ISF, SUTP, CIP).
  • Maintain timers and static prompts to keep participants on track.
  • Troubleshoots connectivity issues experiences with video delivery.
  • Coordinates live-stream sessions with counselors and operates technical equipment during these sessions.
  • Works with programs staff to develop video training segments and facilitator guides.
  • Some travel is required to other program sites.
  • May assist with treatment technology on other program sites.
  • Perform other duties as assigned within his/her capabilities as determined by management.
