About The Position

Salas O'Brien is looking for a mid-level ICT/Technology Consultant to join our Team. The Technology Consultant will leverage their experience working in the Architectural and Engineering community to oversee the design of Telecommunications and Electronic Safety and Security systems. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with other Senior staff and Engineers as well as consult directly with clients on a variety of project types within the construction industry. Projects will include new building construction and existing building renovations of data centers, sporting facilities, commercial, retail, multi-dwelling residential, hotel, education, and hospital properties. Demonstrates a thorough understanding of audiovisual systems. Successful candidates should have a strong knowledge of the structured cabling systems and how they support facility networks, Wi-Fi, DAS, ERRCS, Security Systems, Audiovisual Systems, and Smart Buildings.

Requirements

Work directly under the guidance and supervision of Project Executives and Senior Consultants to execute design direction and deliverables.
Work with clients to understand and translate their requirements into technical designs.
Develop project drawings and specifications.
Think outside the box to come up with creative, practical, technically feasible, and financially responsible solutions to our client's challenges.
Participate in all phases of design process from needs assessment through construction and commissioning.
Apply your knowledge of industry standards to projects.
Survey existing buildings and identify technology systems and components.
Interact with project team members including Architects and MEP Engineers.

Nice To Haves

Experience working in the Architectural and Engineering community
Strong knowledge of structured cabling systems and how they support facility networks, Wi-Fi, DAS, ERRCS, Security Systems, Audiovisual Systems, and Smart Buildings.
Thorough understanding of audiovisual systems.
