About The Position
As a Technology Consultant 2 in the Infosys Oracle unit, you will contribute to software delivery and Oracle database administration for enterprise clients. The position involves requirements elicitation, application design, coding and integration, code reviews, testing, user training, production support, and documentation. Oracle DBA work includes supporting large Oracle environments on UNIX, administering Oracle 19c and Oracle RAC, managing GoldenGate and Data Guard configurations, and troubleshooting and tuning database performance. The role may require relocation and/or travel to the work or project location. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without employer-based visa sponsorship; Infosys cannot provide immigration sponsorship now or in the future.
Requirements
- Extensive experience as an Oracle DBA supporting large Oracle environments on UNIX.
- Experience with Oracle 19c and at least 3 years of experience with Oracle GoldenGate.
- Experience with infrastructure and server administration, including UNIX server administration on HP-UX, IBM AIX, Sun Solaris, or Red Hat Linux.
- Experience with Oracle database administration.
- Experience with Oracle performance tuning and troubleshooting.
- Experience supporting Oracle RAC in UNIX environments.
- Experience upgrading Oracle RAC 19c and GoldenGate environments.
- Experience configuring GoldenGate in a multimaster setup.
- Experience with data drift and handling multimaster configurations.
- Experience building and supporting Oracle Data Guard.
- Experience with shell scripting and Perl.
- Experience using standard Oracle tools such as OEM, Toad, and SQL Developer.
- Experience with on-call pager duty.
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution, or three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of each year of education.

Responsibilities
- Document assigned portions of business requirements, following guidance provided.
- Facilitate software application design discussions and document design decisions for the technical team.
- Participate in coding and integrate features or updates into existing applications while maintaining system stability.
- Conduct code reviews, make changes to the codebase, and maintain code repositories.
- Implement test strategies, analyze results, and coordinate bug fixes to maintain software quality.
- Develop user training programs, documentation, and support frameworks for transitions to new software applications.
- Help resolve production issues and recommend preventive strategies to improve system reliability.
- Maintain records of code, testing techniques, and support activities for the knowledge base and similar projects.
- Support and administer Oracle databases, including Oracle RAC, GoldenGate, and Data Guard environments.
- Perform Oracle performance tuning and troubleshooting.
- Configure and upgrade Oracle RAC and GoldenGate environments, including multimaster configurations and handling data drift.
- Participate in on-call pager duty.
- Work with cross-functional teams and support software integration.
