The Technology Center Associate will be responsible for driving biological pig performance through the execution of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to individual pig care, feed and water system management, ventilation requirements, and animal handling. This role involves learning and operating hardware components of scales, feed, and ventilation systems, as well as their associated software. The associate will respond to alarms at any time and perform routine weekend responsibilities. Additionally, the position involves coordinating with the R&D Leadership team to design study protocols, ensuring their execution, overseeing on-site logistics for data collection, assisting in data validation and analysis, and providing updates on research findings. The associate must be willing to learn and lead research activities across various company sites. Human Capital Management duties include assisting in recruitment and onboarding of new employees, focusing on self-development in pork production, company culture, pig biology, standard work, and scientific methodology. Physical Resource Management involves maintaining facilities and equipment in optimal operating condition, including routine validation and maintenance, and ensuring cleanliness of facilities. The role requires the ability to work on hard floors, stand for extended periods, lift at least 50 lbs, work independently and in a team, communicate effectively in ambiguous environments, and maintain professional partnerships.
