The Technology Center Associate will be responsible for driving biological pig performance through the execution of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to individual pig care, feed and water system management, ventilation requirements, and animal handling. This role involves learning and mastering hardware components and software for scales, feed systems, and ventilation systems, responding to alarms at any time, and performing routine weekend responsibilities. Additionally, the Associate will coordinate with the R&D Leadership team to design and execute research study protocols, oversee on-site logistics for data collection, assist in data validation and analysis, and provide updates on research findings. The position also includes assisting in the recruitment and onboarding of new employees, focusing on self-development in commercial pork production, company culture, pig biology, standard work, and scientific methodology. Physical resource management involves maintaining facilities and equipment in optimal condition, including routine validation and maintenance, and ensuring cleanliness. The role requires the ability to work on hard floors, stand for extended periods, lift at least 50 lbs, work independently and in a team, communicate effectively in ambiguous environments, and collaborate professionally with partners.
