About The Position

This opportunity is ideal for individuals interested in contributing to our team as a Technology Business Office (TBO) / CIO Office Intern within State Street’s Global Technology Services organization. Our technology function, Global Technology Services (GTS), is vital to State Street and is the key enabler for our business to deliver data and insights to our clients. We’re driving the company’s digital transformation and expanding business capabilities using industry best practices and advanced technologies. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong technical capability and the ability to apply AI—including agentic approaches—to real business problems across Finance/Budget, Vendor Management, and CIO Office priorities. This role requires someone who is adaptable, able to shift priorities quickly, and comfortable operating across multiple domains while identifying issues and driving solutions.

Requirements

  • Final-year undergraduate or graduate students in relevant disciplines
  • Able to work in office at least 30 hours a week in Quincy, MA
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future need for employer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and improve processes – Analyze workflows and implement improvements using data, automation, and AI
  • Apply AI and agentic capabilities – Use AI tools and agentic workflows to automate tasks and generate insights
  • Translate complex technology concepts into clear, compelling narratives – Serve as a communications bridge between technical leaders and business stakeholders, distilling data, project updates, and strategic initiatives into stories that resonate with each audience.
  • Build data-driven insights – Develop reports and dashboards for financial and operational metrics
  • Operate across multiple functions – Support Finance, Vendor Management, and strategic initiatives
  • Support vendor management activities – Assist with vendor tracking, contracts, and cost management
  • Proactively identify issues – Detect risks and gaps and support solutions
  • Collaborate across teams – Work with stakeholders across technology, finance, and business
  • Support financial and operational analysis – apply technology to tasks like tracking budgets, forecasts, and vendor spend to support decision-making
  • Support CIO Office priorities – Assist with materials, tracking, and leadership deliverables
  • Develop and deliver executive-ready communications – Draft presentations, talking points, and written updates for CIO Office leadership, ensuring messaging is concise, audience-appropriate, and aligned to business priorities.
