Technology Architect - Internal Transfer
About The Position
The Technology Architect in GIS provides high‑level technical expertise across a specialized GIS software ecosystem, including: Esri ArcGIS Enterprise Platform, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, Survey123, Experience Builder, VertiGIS products, and supporting and ancillary GIS technologies. This role ensures robust GIS operations by understanding component interactions, licensing models, and performance tuning requirements. It involves optimizing large geospatial datasets (including imagery and LiDAR) using appropriate database and storage configurations. The Technology Architect collaborates closely with County infrastructure teams to ensure platform stability, performance, and alignment with County IT standards. This role also involves developing and reviewing GIS standards, roadmaps, guidelines, and procedures, and evaluating and implementing GIS technology solutions for customer departments while maintaining alignment with security and architectural requirements.
