Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting or Finance is required
- Candidate should be a CFP or obtaining CFP status
- 2+ years of experience as a Financial Planner or equivalent experience
- High technical knowledge of legal restrictions and laws concerning retirement plans, tax shelters, insurance, and trusts
- Skilled at working with numbers and budgets and be able to understand complicated financial and legal documents
- Client service orientation combined with creative problem solving skills
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of automated trade, research, custodial relationship systems is highly preferred
Responsibilities
- Interviewing client to determine client's assets, liabilities, cash flow, insurance coverage, tax status, and financial objectives
- Analyzing client's financial status, designing and developing timely financial plan and procedures based on analysis of data, and discussing financial options with client
- Preparing and reviewing documents to implement plan selected by client
- Performing recurring quality control procedures on account activity
- Maintaining contact with client to revise existing plan based on modified needs of client or changes in investment market
- Practice Development activities: Meeting and networking with potential clients to identify new opportunities and grow practice; managing a portfolio of decision makers in ways that create referrals and references
