Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting or Finance is required
Candidate should be a CFP or obtaining CFP status
2+ years of experience as a Financial Planner or equivalent experience
High technical knowledge of legal restrictions and laws concerning retirement plans, tax shelters, insurance, and trusts
Skilled at working with numbers and budgets and be able to understand complicated financial and legal documents
Client service orientation combined with creative problem solving skills

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of automated trade, research, custodial relationship systems is highly preferred

Responsibilities

Interviewing client to determine client's assets, liabilities, cash flow, insurance coverage, tax status, and financial objectives
Analyzing client's financial status, designing and developing timely financial plan and procedures based on analysis of data, and discussing financial options with client
Preparing and reviewing documents to implement plan selected by client
Performing recurring quality control procedures on account activity
Maintaining contact with client to revise existing plan based on modified needs of client or changes in investment market
Practice Development activities: Meeting and networking with potential clients to identify new opportunities and grow practice; managing a portfolio of decision makers in ways that create referrals and references
