About The Position

Purpose of the role To design, develop and improve software, utilising various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues. Accountabilities Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance. Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives. Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing. Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization’s technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth. Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions. Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.

Responsibilities

Design and develop solutions to complex applications problems, system administration issues, or network concerns.
Prototype financial models working closely with Quants and Trading Desk developers collocated on the trading floor in a Rapid Application Mode adjusting to the changing requirements based on market and client conditions.
Analyze, develop, and operationalize complete computer systems.
Evaluate existing systems to determine effectiveness and suggest changes to meet organizational requirements.
Identify system data, hardware, or software components required to meet users’ needs.
Optimize systems and applications and perform analysis to improve processes.
Develop intuitive user interfaces for applications.
Install, test and maintain existing and new systems.
Identify system data, hardware, or software components required to meet user needs.
Research, test, or verify proper functioning of software patches and fixes.
Perform security analyses of developed or packaged software components.
Provide technical guidance or support for the development or troubleshooting of systems.
Evaluate current or emerging technologies to consider factors such as cost, portability, compatibility, or usability.
