About The Position

THIS IS A CT/X-RAY TECH POSITION - PRIMARILY CT WILL BE NEEDED FOR THIS POSTING, BUT X-RAY EXPERIENCE IS ALSO REQUIRED. Perform a wide variety of technical procedures, requiring independent judgment and critical thinking. Requires initiative to apply appropriate skills to facilitate a diagnosis. May be assigned independent responsibilities by Lead Technologist, Administrative Director, Operations Manager, or NARH Facility Director. Proper care of the client in accordance with the departmental and hospital policies and procedures is required. May be responsible for assigned areas to assume responsibilities of supervision or instruction to department personnel or as determined by Manager or Director. Excellent communication skills in written, verbal and Tiger Text format required. Practices infection control in clinical practice in compliance with departmental and hospital policies and OSHA standards. Maintains patient confidentiality. Demonstrates proper operation of PACS, HIS and RIS computer systems. Demonstrates ability to operate and trouble shoot CR, DR, CT, and PACs applications. Completes annual mandatory education to include blood borne pathogens, infection control, and body substance isolation. Maintains department competencies as required. Technologist will be required to perform primary diagnostic Radiology and CT Scan tasks including IV insertion and injections.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years current CT experience
  • ARRT (CT) Certification
  • Ability to function independently and proficiently in a high stress, work intensive environment.
  • Traveler must have their own vehicle for this need
  • Computed Tomography current to 1 year
  • 1 Supervisory Signed Reference (from within the past two years of employment)
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists ARRT (CT) Certification
  • Massachusetts Radiology license - Must be uploaded with profile
  • Active American Heart Association BLS
